The Islamic State state of mind…

ISIL has always been significantly different from all previous jihadist organizations in one all important way. It always asserted the establishment of the Caliphate as its mission right up to declaring itself to be the Caliphate. It is this distinction that has always been misconstrued and handled improperly, especially by the West. ISIL was indeed the…

As France goes ???

The news out of France this past week caught the worlds attention but the questions are legion and I for one am one of the ones asking a lot of them. What is the actual motive ? What is the allegiance ? Where is this heading ? Who are the winners and losers ? What…

France fries old colonies….

In the realm of unintended consequences one must see Mali as a textbook example. France launched decisive military action against the Islamist militants that so thoroughly threatened Malian sovereignty and regional security. The problem now is that there is very clear evidence that the beaten and retreating Islamists have scurried back into Libya and Algeria….

The French are fried…

So I’m not a huge fan of France and I’ve definitely been laughing my ass off since they voted in Hollande. Well as things are starting to develop over there I found two articles that speak to the deep fry logic they are embroiled in. Now if you think “Fuck it,it’s France” I beg you…

and now for yet another insignificant blog on the French elections…

I think the Hollande win will be something many folks try to spin as meaning more than it possibly could. I think France may see some positives from it although there is chatter that things are  not in good shape there and the Socialist agenda dream will be put on hold for Sarkozy-esque austerity anyway….

In2 Vindication suits me well…

So way back in March at the outset of the Libyan War I had taken the position that this was about oil and feelings. Well regards the oil angle there is news that contracts were indeed in effect with France and Italy especially being beneficiaries. Previous Frays: Libya oh Libya The Liberals get the war…

Obama leaps before he thinks…

Perusing the international media I noticed a UK Daily Mail article on US President Barack Obama telling N. Sarkozy of France that France was a better ally than the UK. This is simply untrue with really the sole exception being the Revolutionary War with Lafayette et al. Anyway go read the article. O needs better…

This is too true not to share…

I’ve linked the CityJournal article the exerpt comes from.It captures the primary reason I have a blog. I need the gateway to other news sources and views. It isn’t a devotion thing either. I honestly believe 90% min of my blogging is over in 20-30 minutes. After that you do the same time period on…

Sarko! What the f#%*?????

So France may become the first NATO nation to sell advanced military tech to the Soviets, err I mean Russians. The French are reportedly considering selling a Mistral class assault ship to Russia. It’s kind of funny since the Ruskies have really done quite well playing their hand in the international arms build ups. That being…

Dhimmi?Dummy?Thinker! Swimsuit Issue

From CityJournal “Burqinis” notwithstanding, France isn’t being Islamized. This summer, a woman of Arab descent tried to enter a Paris swimming pool wearing a head-to-toe black swimsuit dubbed a “burqini” and was expelled. The episode rekindled the “veil controversy” of 2005, when the French Parliament, at President Jacques Chirac’s urging, unanimously passed a law forbidding…

In2 .3 feels goooood. Good news for less endowed men everywhere

The headline proclaimed Recession ends in Germany and France but the story was somewhat anticlimactic at best. Europe’s two biggest economies each saw growth of 0.3 percent from the previous three-month period, surprising analysts’ expectations for equivalent declines and technically ending their worst recession in decades. f you were the budding optimist or worse the…

In2 things I’d blog about if I had the time today

Iran protest math and cities. It seems like Tehran is the place. it also seems that the protesters though brave fail to match up numbers wise to the votes cast. Japan paying Brazilians to leave Brazilian immigrants are being offered $3000. USD to leave. Currently there is some real controversy over the “no return” clause….
