Back in 2008 I wrote a post titled They’ve Got a Lot of Coffee in Brazil and that’s not all…
The next President of Brazil will either be the incumbent Dilma Rousseff or the challenger Aecio Neves. Most people say Dilma has the edge but there is a definite chance Neves can pull a win out still.
The economy is perhaps the #1 issue in Brazil, ones personal take and stake in it would app ear to be the driver in who may win.
I think Neves deserves a shot and that Dilma has failed Brazil. Dilma has lacked the umph of Lula and the country has suffered for it. The question of which direction the country should take is literally what is on the ballot now in my view. Neves pro business centrist politics or Rousseffs left wing deepening knee jerk maternalism are the two choices and for Brazil I think the choice is clear.
Can Brazil survive a Dilma reelection? Of course it can. Is it better off giving Neves a shot? Yes!
