In2 How Some of the Pro-Israel stuff is a No Fly Zone…

So I was reading an article by neo-con flak Douglas Feith in which he expressed his outrage over the quarantining of Israel’s Ben Gurion International Airport. Titled How to Isolate Allies and Reward Enemies  the article appeared in Foreign Policy and Mr.Feith gives me cause to agree with retired general Tommy Franks who called him “the fucking stupidest guy on the face of the earth.”

It is undeniable that Israel has excellent defense mechanisms in place to mitigate threats. It is also undeniable that Hamas has found new range and that this past week finds us collectively less accepting of planes involuntarily coming out of the skies. In his piece Feith shows how the Pro-Israel types found in positions of influence in the USA are too pro for Israel and too lacking in clarity for the rest of the world.

I’m not looking to go on some zionism schtick but clearly it is important for the US government to keep its focus on its people above all. Anything less just doesn’t fly.

Alfie, not only did I NOT find the FAA ban offensive, I was a bit offended by Bibi not closing the airport temporarily himself until he could “guarantee” it was safe and not in a war zone. I actually found Mike Bloomberg’s stunt downright unpatriotic.
