There is a storm on the horizon and its winds will likely whither many a soul.

One of the biggest gimmicks is keeping State employee pension liabilities off budget. One of the very biggest violators? “Fiscally conservative” regressive Okiehoma. Just keep lowering those taxes idiots.

  2. Alfie says:

    Are OK civil servants unionized?

  3. bvilleyellowdog says:

No. And giving a person a reasonable pension has what to do with that? Nor do unions have anything to do with cooking the books. The GOP dominated legislature did that.

  4. Alfie says:

    You are a liar.
The unions have obviously helped create the pension issues in EVERY state. They are not the only component of the problem…but they are a problem. Also don’t ever let me see you praise Pres. Bill off the books budget Clinton.

  5. bvilleyellowdog says:

Once again the truth hurts. The doing of the GOP Okie legislature. No unions involved.
But we need more of them. The situation of the laboring man has not been so dire since 1933.
Blame every thing on librils and unions – grow up and quit babbling Limbo speak.

  6. bvilleyellowdog says:

So the non-unions are to blame becasue retired or retiring state employees have pensions.
Or state government becuase they stole from the piggy bank. Same story at the federal level. SS has always more than paid for it self and then some – it has never cost the tax payer a dime. “Saving it” requires at most very modest payments from current workers – probably by rasing the level of income taxed – why is is not ALL taxed?
Now the regressives would like to steal the piggy bank. I hope they try hard and long – it will be thier Waterloo.

  7. Alfie says:

It is happening all across the country with (R) and (D) with their hands on the wheel of the bus going off the cliff.
You need to transcend your blind rage Dog. It isn’t about Right v Left…it is about right v wrong

  8. bvilleyellowdog says:

and Texas is totally in the dumpster…..

So it’s wrong for state employees to have pensions? – you failed to answer – or did you?
Or is it wrong for legislators to steal from them? Are you OK with that? Seems so.
And would like to steal the Social Security I paid for as well no doubt.

  9. Alfie says:

So is New York and New Jersey and Mass. Is it wrong for state employees to have pensions? No but it is wrong how most of them are managed, massaged etc. If you read the original article you’d have seen it was hardly a Blue State beat down. You’re pathetic in your rabid partisanship and bankrupt ideology.

  10. bvilleyellowdog says:

“No but it is wrong how most of them are managed, massaged etc” – so the regressive OKie government messed up – they are idiots – more interested in what happens in bedrooms instead of whether anyone has food or healthcare….and there were not unions involved – so think of some other bogyman.

  11. Alfie says:

    Teachers=union= only 7% contribution
How you see that as not part of the problem only shows what a dishonest git you are
As for OK govt failing to fund… As I’ve said before that is a bipartisan thing being played out throughout the nation.
The days of 85+% and definitely 90+% employer contribution, especially TAX PAYERS is over!
Your retirement is YOUR responsibility. There cannot be only one tool in that tool box. SS (which will go belly up before I get mine) 401K,IRA and corporate pension are my tools.

  12. Alfie says:

I will give you one thing….you do seem to be passionate and motivated about your home state issues. This post wasn’t about that though. Remember if you return in the future our discussions must be based on the following:
It isn’t about Right v Left,It’s about right v wrong.

I don’t care what the (letter) after the pols name is,on pension reform (WE) need better.

  13. bvilleyellowdog says:

There cannot be only one tool in that tool box. SS (which will go belly up before I get mine)
SS has always more than paid it’s own way – to say anything else is a lie… And to say it is terminal is a lie. At most it needs a slight increas in maximum pay taxed – why is there a max actully? I see no reason a billionare shoud pay a lower percentage.

401K,IRA were solen by the banktas…. and corporate pension – gee if you work for the state that “corporate pention” is a STATE pension DUH.

Pls dont look like a fool tyvm.

  14. bvilleyellowdog says:

OK has been held up as a model for how well regressive politics works – well it doesn’t. The budget is in the potty. Tulsa has one of the 10 highest forclosure rates in teh country. – Not due to liar loans but to loss of jobs – great going regressives.

  15. bvilleyellowdog says:

Whenever I got a corporate pension my contribution was ZERO. Why should public employees contribute anything? 7% is 7% too much out of already pathetic salaries…47th in the nation I believe.

Reality is – regressiveness is all about ME ME ME. Remember that and everything is explained.

  16. an800lbgorilla says:

I won’t bother posting it since I know you’ll not read it, but here we are again with the Bitch completely fabricating nuggets of info because the truth destroys his arguments.

SS is going bankrupt. Period. You can’t defend with ANY type of math saying otherwise. 2037 is the new date, which is sooner than folks previously thought.

    Are you a public employee?

  17. Alfie says:

I can’t believe somebody that believes 100% taxpayer pensions is somehow NOT the me me me me person in the equation. lol

  18. bvilleyellowdog says:

Debts Should Be Honored, Except When the Money Is Owed to Working People

  19. Alfie says:

perusal of the BLS statistics indicate that BYD is relying on false assertions of others.
Public sector employment trumps private sector on almost every level. The only levels it doesn’t are the ones govt. should probably not be occupying and even then its rare.
Dog it was said elsewhere but you really are reaching Elric territory at least as far as source and comment content. Your abusiveness still falls far short though which is nice.

  20. Tex Taylor says:

    Alfie,

“No but it is wrong how most of them are managed, massaged etc” – so the regressive OKie government messed up – they are idiots – more interested in what happens in bedrooms instead of whether anyone has food or healthcare….and there were not unions involved – so think of some other bogyman.

Dawg is bent because Oklahoma used to be Conservative but Democrat until Reagan. Quickly, it has become the most red of red states, finally even taking over public education this year – the last bit of Dimocratic corruption which they’ve practically ruined.

Dawg is about as much a misfit here in Oklahoma as he is on WordPress. Maybe even more.

A caricature worth mocking for his abject stupidity, ignorance, immorality – but even that is starting to wear thin because of the meaningless repetition.
