Americas Diversity Dilemma

Most folks see diversity as a good thing and for the most part I do too. I am of the school though that there are areas where diversity chips away at unity. When you live in a place that is called the United States of America that can be a problem.

Rural America is part of our great heritage and exists today as a way some of us can enjoy life. It has its pro’s and cons just like living anywhere does. 911 services is one area where the rural setting offers some serious challenges and  shortfalls.

The recent event that has gained national attention out of Tennessee speaks to that. I for one do not fault the fire department but I definitely fault EVERYONE else involved.

I am especially disgusted by the pundit humps that used this to denounce everything from the Tea Party crowd to libertarians to ObamaCare. I for one became guilty of that last one when making the case for personal responsibility, the hilarious point there being that the libbie I was railing against made a great case for personal responsibility in his attempts to trash me.

I lost the remaining elements of respect I had for some of my leftist friends in the blog world over this and it only took 75 bucks

There are rules

Whether you like them or not they do exist and exist for a myriad of reasons. I for one am in the dark of some of the varied points of how South Fulton TN fire service operates. The much reported dust up seems to focus on actual responses to a fire. What would have happened if the double wide trailer(for it was not a traditional “house” folks) had collapsed entrapping the residents ? What would have occurred if a truck slammed into the trailer home with a full load of fuel ? You see secondary to agenda driven media entities we may never know. I know the South Fulton and Obion County online resources have failed to shed any light on the possibles for me.Quite simply all I do know is that South Fulton has a policy to allow non South Fulton addresses to submit $75.00 annually and receive fire services.I have nothing on motor vehicle accident responses or kitties in a tree.

Along the same lines I think it right and proper to ask why anyone in the service of a given municipality should be expected to risk life and liberty for another municipality or better yet an unaligned entity. It comes off cold-hearted but many municipalities nationwide have grappled with this one. In fact a variation of the theme occurred right here in my state of MA. A volunteer firefighter died at a fire and his family was not given any compensation. there were calls for legislation after the fact but to my knowledge nothing came of it. Plain and simple the taxpayers and the spenders of their money simply draw the line at where, when and why they fund compensation. Chew on that for a while before you curse the SFFD

Church and State,I kid you not

I saw on Rutherfords blog a charge that those so-called Christians who supported the SFFD policy were hypocrites, this sent me into a red-zone state of mind for sure.Charity and discipleship has no home in 911 services in the truest sense. One may feel they are doing the Lords work or whatever but ultimately there are very mortal rules that dictate your actions and responsibilities.I know for I lived in that world for over a decade in mostly urban settings as a 911 paramedic.

The obvious added angle here is that those like Rutherford are usually front and center on their calls for secularism.

Let’s count the Christians and the Think Progress/Kos types that donate money in this shitty economy and buy the Cranicks a new trailer. If that happens which column is likely to be the best represented?

We the People

We have relatively simple decisions to make when and where we desire government. We lament when government grows by itself into the bureaucratic nightmare it is in so many places, and rightly so. We still need some level of government though and we obviously need to stay involved and vigilant when we seat one.

Unincorporated land is an excellent example of an area we need a collective rethink. Whether under the heading of resource management, environmentalism, energy procurement, education or 911 services at some level we need to get it on the books what is what in the no man lands of the USA. If we learn anything from this let it be that.

Two phoney winger memes back to back.
It is progressives who support taking care of your fellow man – not the me me me teabagger crowd. Larger charitable donations are given by progressives – no money to church buildings and wealth preachers don’t count.

USA now 49th ranked in infant mortality! Third world territory. Mostly due to lack of medicare care.

As far as donations that progressive MSNBC crowd is taking donations for the trailer. That will more than cover the trailer – the rest goes to charity. Let me know how much Limbo collects – no o sorry that will be for Limbo…

Meanwhile 911, fire, police, roads, healthcare, education should all be covered by taxes. No wingers all government and all twaxesa re mot evil – some are essential for any civilized society. Don’t like it? Go live in a cave in Somalia.

How big is your nose Pinnochio?

Cranick, who is living in a trailer on his property, says his insurance policy will help cover some of his lost home.

Cranick has received emergency money to cover immediate costs and the insurance will cover all damage and property losses, his son, Todd, told local media.

Paulette Cranick said the family received offers of help but that the aid isn’t needed.

“We have insurance and are happy everyone is alive,” she said.

I found one thing where Olberdouche is laying claim to an account that is sitting at 15+k.

Yeah the freedom crushing ego trips of Soros and Gates NGO action which demonstrably ruin societies are better for sure. Haha!

Also it is well known that US infant mortality is tallied differently than those above us. Sure our rate is high as we should rate #1 in the ideal world but then again we don’t live in an ideal world.

As for your last comment,Some taxes are indeed evil but absolutely…if you’re gonna ride on a road, want cops to investigate/prevent crime and have the FD make the scene no matter the incident you need to pony up the tax dollars. Optional subscription is stupid.

No, it is the progressives who would not only make taking care of your fellow man compulsory, but would also decide for you exactly how that is to be accomplished, and progressively make it expensive enough that you are eventually priced out of making alternative decisions to do so yourself. One need look no further than the successes of the “War on Poverty” which did nothing to significantly reduce poverty, but was a jim dandy means to impose dependency upon those who sought assistance, as the taxpayers were told year after year that the backwards methods would work if only they gave up more and more of their disposable income to the government to redistribute as it saw fit.

  5. Infant mortality is high in the United States..? Where the hell did you get that from..? Medicare for poor women that are pregnant? Sorry, but states are already required to provide pre and post natal care for the poor through Medicaid.
Obviously laws are different in different places, but in most places emergency services are available through special district taxes. In all cases though, Public Safety people have what is known as a duty to respond. Sure, those folks do get a bigger bill, but respond we did, and still do. So try putting the blame at a local level, not on a system that beats the daylights out of every other system in the world.

Just a bit of history; most of these programs were started by individuals banding together of their free accord for the betterment of their fellow men and women. That’s a libertarian concept, not a socialist one…

It’s hard for me to ever take the Yeller Dawg seriously, but when there is a bald-faced lie published, it needs to be corrected for the record. I don’t know who is the worse liar – Graychin or Yeller Dawg. But Graychin is certainly more clever in his lies. Yeller Dawg lies straight up.

Larger charitable donations are given by progressives – no money to church buildings and wealth preachers don’t count.

Even the slimy NYT disputes the lying Dawg’s data.

Unbelievable how deluded and deceitful this scumbag is.
