Some quotage from an AP report out of Haiti:
Sunlight streamed through what little was left of blown-out stained windows as the Rev. Eric Toussaint preached to a small crowd of survivors. A rotting body lay in its main entrance.
“Why give thanks to God? Because we are here,” Toussaint said. “We say ‘Thank you God.’ What happened is the will of God. We are in the hands of God now.”
“It’s a catastrophe and it is God who has put this upon us,” said Jean-Andre Noel, 39-year-old computer technician “Those who live in Haiti need everything. We need food, we need drink, we need medicine. We need help.”
I still sit in the camp that it wasn’t God that did this to you. I have to say though that God will definitely help you out of this. Christian principles make for better people. That’s just a simple fact. When humans try to override those principles, tweak them, well that’s where we see the problems. Of course people are all too willing to toss that stuff on God.
If you got some spare $,£ or any other currency go ahead it toss it towards a credible charity. If you’ve got nothing don’t fret ‘cuz you too can say a prayer. In fact I’m gonna help you a bit with some prayer suggestions.
