HIV travel service

So the ban is to be lifted. the ban being the restriction that forbid those with HIV/AIDS from traveling into the USA. Much like many of Obamas acts as POTUS Bush actually set this up but the bureaucracy never acted on it. Now Obama allegedly will.

I do find it odd though that anyone doesn’t see this as a bad thing. I really don’t see how allowing people with a deadly disease into the country isn’t a public health issue. Just think of the reverse scenarios of international travel for prostitutes. The international johns get all types of nasties let alone the fact that they aggravate the suffering plight of the sex workers.

Sorry folks. You got HIV stay home.

Just means more people will come over to free load off our health care

  2. I’m glad that I’m not the only one who sees this as a fundamentally bad idea. For heaven’s sake… we are just getting a swine flu vaccine ready (sort of) months after this thing came over our borders. West Nile is a huge problem in some areas. How many times does this have to happen for the brain trusts who rule our lives to realise that allowing people who have communicable diseases free access to America is bad?

  3. Alfie says:

Yeah I just don’t get it. travel restrictions are pretty much common sense whether its to exclude health risks or negative impacts on the economy or agriculture. Let’s be clear I’m just mentioning the “normal” types of things.

  4. Elric nailed this one!
