In2 No seriously this is a serious question…

I was reading some press on Sen. M. Baucuss healthcare plan unveiling as it were. It like so many variants left me with a number of questions and thoughts but also one big front burner whopper.

WHY IS IT THAT ALL THE REFORM PLANS DON’T ELIMINATE AT LEAST MEDICAID ?

I get Medicare staying around as that was theoretically paid into all of ones working life. Medicaid though seems to me the elephant in the room nobody wants to see. Isn’t it just a government paid health care plan ? Shouldn’t it and it’s funding be put into the reformed plan ?

I’m stopping here as I see the question marks getting ready to mount up. Please help me out onthis one….Seriously

Well said, except perhaps “blue whale” in the room might have been slightly more appropriate….elephant seems so diminutive here.

SevenCell that’s true plus it has the added bonus of assuring a bipartisan appreciation for the problem as opposed to pigeonholing R’s.
